What
is Cardiac Coherence?
There is a neural
link between the Heart and the Brain, along which signals are sent.
These signals travel in both directions. When the Heart sends a
highly ordered rythmic and electrical signal to the Brain, this coherent
state is called "Cardiac Coherence". It has been scientifically
proven that positive emotions increase coherence in the heart's rhythmic
beating patterns. Individuals who are able to sustain this signal
are able to improve the health, well-being and personal performance.

How
does HeartMath fit into this?
Doc Childre, co-founder
at the Institute of HeartMath, spent many years researching a series of
techniques to achieve this state of Cardiac Coherence. These techniques
are called the HeartMath method. The resulting techniques are scientifically
validated and are taught all over the world by licensed trainers. Consistant
practice of the techniques has been shown to help reduce stress; lower
high blood pressure; enhance perception, creativity, decision-making and
performance.

I
am interested in HeartMath for myself, not my organisation.
Unfortunately,
Hunter Kane is not set up to work with the general public on a day
to day basis. If you are interested in learning about, and
using the HeartMath techniques, we would recommend that you purchase
the book entitled "The HeartMath Solution" by Doc Childre
and Howard Martin which explains the techniques in detail. The
book is published in the UK by Piatkus and is available directly
from ourselves in our web store,
should be available to order from your local bookshop; ISBN 0-7499-2027-0;
or from Amazon.
There are other publications, including "e-books" available
directly from our web store.

What
is the Freeze Framer Software?
The Freeze
Framer software is a sophisticated and sensitive real-time bio-feedback
application, which shows the user a real time snapshot of their
physiology. The application runs on a PC (and in emulation mode
only on a MAC), and requires (currently) a free 9-pin serial port
(see HeartMath's website for specific system requirements).
The programme does not in itself influence or interfere with the
physiology, but merely reports the state of cardiac physiology at
the time of use. Without knowledge and practice of the HeartMath
techniques, use of the software alone will not generate any improvements
in an individual's state. For more comprehensive information,

How
can I become a trainer in these techniques?
Hunter Kane, under

techniques are protected under US and UK Copyright Laws, and are
provided under licence in Europe, all trainers are strictly regulated
and monitored. If you wish to find out more about becoming
a trainer, please read the following document.
