Hunter Kane is the sole UK licensee for
the Institute of HeartMath and to date we have concentrated on developing
programmes for the corporate sector and only occasionally run programmes
for members of the public in an "open" format.
In
the first instance anyone wanting to train the HeartMath techniques
would need to attend one of our "open" one-day programmes
and then spend time practising and mastering the HeartMath tools.
These programmes are arranged on an adhoc basis and individuals
can be waitlisted for a place on application to Hunter Kane. The
cost for attending is £150, which covers our costs and includes
a Heart Zones music CD, a training workbook and lunch.
The
process for people wanting to train on behalf of Hunter Kane is
that after this initial period the potential trainer would need
to deliver a short presentation to Hunter Kane, on a subject of
their choice. This would be followed by a formal interview.
Training would take place in a small group situation. At the moment
Hunter Kane is not actively recruiting trainers.
For
individuals wanting to be one-to-one (1-1) trainers, we are looking
at the model our American partners use to see how this could be
adapted for the UK and Europe, but to give some idea of what is
involved the Institute of HeartMath currently charge £1500 for a
three-day licensing process. The contract includes a proviso that
£350-worth of product is bought. There should also be a good "professional"
reason for them wanting to become a 1-1 provider (ie: an existing
client base).
There
would also be a "pre-certification" process that could
involve home study with the products and/or coaching sessions.
(Cost of products bought plus £250 for up to 4 sessions).
1-1 providers
can be managed, after licensing, through an "extranet"
run by the Institute of HeartMath, which includes a bulletin board.
There would also be an annual licensing fee or royalty and quality
checks.
One-to-One trainers will
be operating in the complementary therapy or personal coaching arena
and we will not be licensing trainers to operate as corporate coaches.
Potential partners should
complete, and send, our New
Business Qualification document.
